The Philadelphia Orchestra and the Macao Orchestra held their first-ever joint concert as respective conductors Yannick Nézet-Séguin and Lü Jia kept a packed Venetian Theatre entertained with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7 in A major and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 in B minor.

A diverse crowd enjoyed a programme comprising Dvořák Slavonic Dance, Op. 46, No. 1; Mozart Symphony No. 41 (“Jupiter”); Bernstein Overture to Candide; Smetana “The Moldau,” from Má vlast and
Tchaikovsky Romeo and Juliet which showcased the orchestra’s powerful sound and talented musicians.
