Women’s League KCC Maidens v CCC Fung Wong
At PKVR Reservoir, KCC Maidens beat CCC Fung Wong by eight wickets. CCC Fung Wong, with only seven batters available, could only muster 67 in 24 overs with skipper Pull To top scoring with 23. Maheen Haider was the pick of the Maidens’ bowlers with 3/5 in four overs.
In reply, Sidra Nasreen hit 27 as the Maidens knocked off the runs in 9.1 overs. At PKVR Reservoir: CCC Fung Wong 67 from 24 overs lost to KCC Maidens 2/69 from 9.1 overs by eight wickets.
KCC Maidens v PACC
There was a very short game of cricket in the Women’s League where KCC Maidens thrashed PACC by ten wickets. PACC could only put seven players on the park and they found themselves batting after losing the toss. Unfortunately, they could only post a score of 11 and they were all out in five overs. KCC knocked off the runs in less than two overs without losing a wicket. At PKVR Reservoir: PACC 11 from 5 overs lost to KCC Maidens 0/12 from 1.5 overs by ten wickets.
HKCC Cavaliers v KCC Maidens
In an entertaining match at PKVR Reservoir on Saturday, HKCC Cavaliers scored a six-wicket victory over KCC Maidens.
The KCC women took first use of the wicket and they put together a good score of 6/193 with five of their top order reaching twenty and Amanda Kwok’s 35 their best.
The big score didn’t deter the HKCC Cavaliers’ batters and Jasmine Titmuss (76*) and Alvina Tam (45*) got them home in 33 overs with an unbroken stand of 133 for the fifth wicket. DLSWCC Wasps v USRC
Shahzeen Shahzad smashed an unbeaten 211 in just 33 overs as DLSWCC Wasps thumped USRC by 264 runs in a Women’s League match at PKVR Reservoir. The DLSWCC women batted first after winning the toss and they scored a massive 2/339 with Shanzeen helping herself to what is thought to be the first double century and the highest individual score by a women cricketer in Hong Kong. Manpreet Kaur also scored 40.
The USRC women, having been docked two overs for failing to bowl out their overs in time, managed to bat out their 31 overs to finish on 9-75. Mehreen Yousaf picked up 3/7 from six overs. At PKVR Reservoir: DLSWCC Wasps 2/339 from 33 overs beat USRC 9/75 from 31 overs by 264 runs.

HKCC Willow Wielders continued their unbeaten run this season with a nine-wicket demolition of CCC Fung Wong at PKVR Reservoir. CCC Fung, only fielding eight players could only manage a total of 127 in 26.3 overs with their skipper Pull To scoring 51.
Unbeaten knocks by Jenefer Davies and Marina Lamplough, who finished on 47* and 62* got the HKCC women home in 16.2 overs. At PKVR Reservoir: CCC Fung Wong 127 from 26.3 overs lost to HKCC Willow Wielders 1/128 from 16.2 overs by nine wickets.

The Women League match at PKVR Reservoir was wrapped up in less than 20 overs with DLSWCC Wasps thrashing the PACC women by nine wickets. PACC were bowled out for just 29 in 14 overs with Shanzeen Shahzad picking up 4/20 and Mehreen Yousaf claiming 5/9. The DLSWCC Wasps batters needed only 5.3 overs to knock off the runs, although they did manage to lose a wicket in the process. At PKVR Reservoir: PACC 29 from 14 overs lost to DLSWCC Wasps 1/32 from 5.3 overs by nine wickets.
HKCC Cavaliers v CCC Fung Wong
In the Women’s League, HKCC Cavaliers beat CCC Fung Wong by 94 runs. Cavaliers batted first after winning the toss and they reached 6/213 from 33 overs with opener Ruchitha Venkatesh continuing her recent good form by carrying her bat for 80 not out. Kary Chan was the pick of the Fung Wong bowlers as she claimed 3/51 from seven overs.
In reply, Cindy Ho also carried her bat for 52 not out, but hers was a lone hand as CCC Fung Wong were bowled out for 119. At PKVR Reservoir: HKCC Cavaliers 6/213 from 33 overs beat CCC Fung Wong 119 from 23 overs by 94 runs.

At KCC: DLSWCC Wasps and KCC Maidens abandoned due to wet weather.
Bowlers Jordi Lo and Dorothy Yu today made history by winning, respectively, the men’s and women’s singles titles at the Hong Kong International Bowls Classic. This is the first time a Hong Kong bowler has won the women’s singles competition.
In the men’s competition, Jordi Lo faced Andrew Duncan from Ireland in the final. Despite losing the first set 3:11, he came back strong on the second to force the match into tie-break. Lo won the 3-ends tie-breaker 3:2 to became only the second Hong Kong bowler to lift the title.
In the women’s competition, all four semi-finalists were local players so it was guaranteed that the trophy would remain in Hong Kong for the first ever time. At the end it was Hong Kong international Dorothy Yu who emerged victorious, defeating Millicent Lai from the Seabird Sports Club to win the title.
The annual International Bowls Classic, which started on Saturday with the Singles, will continue with the Pairs competition throughout the week. The final of the Pairs will be on Sunday 15 November.

The first phase of matches in the Women’s T20 Cup was completed on Sunday with two games at PKVR Reservoir and one at Kowloon Cricket Club.
KCC Maidens enjoyed a rare day at home when they hosted HKCC Cavaliers at Kowloon Cricket Club. The HKCC women batted first and they scored 2/126 from their 20 overs. In reply, the KCC Maidens were restricted to 8/79 in their innings. At KCC: HKCC Cavaliers 2/126 from 20 overs beat KCC Maidens 8/79 from 20 overs by 47 runs.
Over at PKVR Reservoir, DLSWCC Wasps defeated PACC by nine wickets in the first match. PACC could only muster 23 all out in just 5.1 overs with Shanzeen Shahzad claiming 5/11. The DLSWCC women only needed four overs to knock off the runs. At PKVR Reservoir: PACC 23 from 5.1 overs lost to DLSWCC Wasps 1/24 from 4 overs by nine wickets.
The day’s final match saw HKCC Willow Wielders finish the first phase of matches unbeaten after knocking off CCC Fung Wong by eight wickets. The CCC women put up some brave resistance, scoring 69 from 17.5 overs but they couldn’t combat Mariko Hill who picked up figures of 3/14 from three overs. The Willow Wielders had to work for their runs, with Marina Lamplough scoring 23 and Mariko Hill finishing on 29 not out, after sharing an opening partnership worth 63 runs. At PKVR Reservoir: CCC Fung Wong 69 from 17.5 overs lost to HKCC Willow Wielders 2/71 from 9 overs by eight wickets.
The women’s competition will now switch to the 35-over Women’s League with all teams playing each other once. The Women’s T20 Cup will resume in late February 2016 once all Women’s League matches are completed.
Babar Hayat on his way to a century against Hong Kong Cricket Club in the Hong Kong Premier League One-Day Tournament
Little Sai Wan beat Hong Kong Cricket Club by 123 runs
Little Sai Wan (LSWCC) got their 2015-16 One-Day Premier League campaign off to a flying start with a 123-run victory over defending champions Hong Kong Cricket Club at HKCC on Sunday thanks to some power hitting from their middle-order batsmen.
Batting first after winning the toss, the HKCC team made most of the early running with wickets to Simon Cook, Tim Cutler and Harry Bailey restricting LSWCC to 3/58 from their first 20 overs. But from there, it was all LSWCC. Babar Hayat and Ehsan Khan made the most of some early let-offs to build a partnership that was steady at the start but which flourished towards the end. Together they combined for 162 runs, scored in 23.1 overs at a touch under 7 runs per over. HKCC’s slow bowlers had no answer to the onslaught, with Ahan Manglik, Courtney Kruger and Scott McKechnie conceding 104 runs from their collective 10 overs. Hayat fell a couple of balls after reaching his run-a-ball 100, which featured three fours and eight sixes, while Ehsan Khan hit 83 with eleven fours and one six.
If the Hayat/Khan partnership had been impressive, the partnership between Munir Dar and Shahid Wasif was explosive. From 5/237 at the fall of Ehsan’s wicket, Dar and Wasif plundered another 90 runs off the next 33 balls, at a staggering 16.36 runs per over. Dar struck three fours and six sixes in his 21-ball 54 while Wasif bettered that with two fours and six sixes in his 16-ball 49 not out as DLSWCC finished on 6/332 from their 50 overs. None of the HKCC bowlers were spared – Wasif smashed Simon Cook back over his head for two huge sixes while Tim Cutler, whose first six overs had cost just 10 runs, conceded 63 runs from his last four.
Needing a swift and solid start to their innings, the HKCC openers of David Jacquier and James Redmayne were pegged down by a tight opening spell from Jangzeb Khan and Niaz Khan. Jangzeb bowled Jacquier (5) and had Scott McKechnie (13) caught behind while the run-out of Redmayne (10) left HKCC struggling at 3/36 in the 11th over. A fine fourth wicket partnership worth 84 runs between HKCC skipper Courtney Kruger and Nizakat Khan lifted HKCC into a good position and at 3/119 after 22 overs, they were 58 runs ahead of DLSWCC at the same point of their innings. But the dismissals of Kruger (42) and Matt Twomey (1) in quick succession, set HKCC back on their haunches. Simon Cook (31) and Nizakat (46) did their best to up the run-rate but when they both fell in successive overs from Ehsan Khan, the HKCC chase was all but over. Daljeet Singh batted well for 31 and his was the final wicket to fall as HKCC slumped to 209 all out in 40.1 overs.
Ehsan Khan completed a fine all-round performance by claiming 5/37 from his eight over spell, while Jangzeb Khan picked up 2/25 from six overs at the top of the innings.

Kowloon Cricket Club beatHong Kong Under 19s by 140 runs
In the day’s other match,Kowloon Cricket Club plundered the U19s attack for 326 runs with Jamie Atkinson hitting 93 and Kincit Shah and Ryan Campbell completing half-centuries. Tanveer Ahmed was the best of the U19s bowlers, picking up 3/54 from his ten over spell.
In reply, the U19s started solidly with the openers putting on 50 runs for the first wicket. But wickets tumbled regularly and from 8/95 there was no coming back. Left-arm spinner Dan Pascoe did the damage for KCC, picking up 5/30 from his ten over spell. A last wicket partnership between Tanveer Ahmed and Saad Mohammad was the best for the U19s as the finished on 186 from 48.5 overs.
