The Bollands wish Hong Kong adieu with a final gig at Backstage Live. The New Zealand folk duo, who have gained a well earned reputation for their passion filled live shows, have been performing together since 2011 when Joyce, a classically trained pianist, met Christian, a hairy folk singer, at a campfire jam on a remote beach in their home country. They clicked instantly. Since that fate filled night, they have been playing their passion filled and heartfelt songs across the globe.

Relief for Typhoon Haiyan: The Music of Amy Winehouse, Shaolin Fez, & more …

Shaolin Fez

Shaolin Fez, led by Jennifer Palor and Samuel Ferrer, will bring to Central a full 12-piece jazz/rock ensemble to present the highlights of their epic August show for a evening of pulsating live music to help raise money and awareness for aid relief to the Philippines after Typhoon Haiyan.

Ginger Kwan and Sybil Thomas will make special guest appearances

The band, in co-operation with Backstage Live, will donate their fee so that at least half the ticket price will go to Haiyan relief. Backstage Live will donate part of their bar takings as well. There will charities there with collection boxes.

Shaolin Fez will also donate the profits from their CD sales on that night.
