From the United States, the Sheryl Bailey 3 (SB3) are Sheryl Bailey, Ian Froman and Ron Oswasnki. SB3 offer a new spin on the popular organ trip format pioneered by past Hammond B-3 masters Jimmy Smith and Jack McDuff.
The programme will explore the roots of the ensemble of blues, shuffles, New Orleans “2nd line” grooves, and swing rhythms by revisiting those traditions, with their own sense of modernity and style.
