An historic day for Hong Kong Women’s XV as they take on 10th ranked Spain in the first of two test matches. It’s the first time Hong Kong, currently 21st in the world rankings, have played a team from outside Asia.
The match will hopefully be steamed online – details updated when we have them.

@bcmagazinehk Technically the first game is not a test match
The HK Rugby press release, the only information I have to go on, says “The 25-woman strong team will be the first Hong Kong XV to play a test series against non-Asian opposition next month (Dec 12-21) in Madrid. Hong Kong will play Spain on Tuesday (15 Dec.) and Saturday (19 Dec.) although both sides are expected to experiment with their selections in the opening match.” Series implies both are test matches. Otherwise is should have said something like a friendly match before the the first test… Either way it’s great that they’re on tour, playing against challenging opponents and new players – it’s the only way to continue to improve. Go Hong Kong.
