$150 it
To celebrate its 150th anniversary, Hong Kong’s Standard Chartered Bank has launched the world’s first $150 banknote. Renowned graphic designer Henry Steiner designed the $150 Commemorative Charity Banknote featuring a satellite image of today’s Victoria Harbour all in Standard Chartered’s corporate blue and green colours on the front. The banknotes are sold in three packages: a single at HK$280, a 4-in-1 Uncut set at HK$1,888 and a 35-in-1 Uncut set for HK$18,888. Public sales of 750,000 singles started on October 1 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre and designated Standard Chartered branches. Buyers are allowed up to 10 pieces per purchase.

PSP it
Motorheads with PSPs will likely have disappeared into the woodwork on October 1 with the release of the new Gran Turismo game on Playstation in Hong Kong. With over 800 vehicle models, 35 courses and 60 layouts to choose from, they would be spending all their waking hours testing themselves in time trials or drift mode situations and becoming Ferrari freaks, Merc maniacs or Lambo larrikins racing around some of the most famous circuits in the world. Many of the popular landmarks from the Gran Turismo series are available in this game, which sets over 100 challenges for players to ‘hone driving skills and learn new cornering, braking and other driving techniques’. And even better, in a new option, aspiring champions can share and trade vehicles with other racers via PSP’s ad hoc mode.
Visit http://asia.playstation.com/hk for further details.

Miffy it
It looks like a cute bunny chilling on a golfing green but there is much more to Miffy and her (club)house than an early morning stroll dodging hazardous golf balls. Given half a chance, this bunny will be singing your favourite tunes in a voice that sounds exactly like your favourite singer. And it will be, for Miffy and her house are actually an MP3 player (the house is the speaker) that can store up to 8Gb of files in its 24gm weight. If you are a sucker for the cutes, check it out at http://www.jcshop.com.hk or www.miffyshop.co.uk where music with Miffy will cost you some $1,280.
